Roy Connors, formerly with the 1960s folk group, The Highwaymen, wowed a group of 35 at the North County Senior Center today on behalf of Inspirit. He sang “If I Had a Hammer,” “This Land is your Land,” “Sloop John B,” “Irene,” “Jamaica Farewell,” “Where Have all the flowers Gone,” and, of course two hits by the Highwaymen, “Michael Row the Boat Ashore” and “Cotton Fields.” The audience clapped and sang along enthusiastically.
